This policy explains what data The Agentic Architect (theagenticarch.com) collects when you visit, why, and what control you have over it. The site is run by Hugo Guerrero, who is the data controller.
The short version
- This is a static blog. There are no accounts, comments, forms, or newsletter sign-ups.
- Analytics run only if you click Accept on the cookie banner.
- If you decline, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
If you accept, the site loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited (and Google LLC in the United States). It helps me understand which articles are read and how readers find the site so I can write more useful content.
With your consent, Google Analytics may collect:
- Pages viewed, time on page, scroll and click events
- Approximate location (derived from your IP address), device type, browser, and operating system
- The page or site that referred you
- A random identifier stored in first-party cookies (
_gaand_ga_<ID>)
I do not collect your name, email address, or any other information that directly identifies you, and I do not combine analytics data with other sources. Analytics cookies typically expire after up to 14 months. Data retention in Google Analytics is limited to the period configured in my account.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy rules on cookies). Your data may be transferred to the United States; Google relies on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for such transfers. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer. If you switch from Accept to Decline, the analytics cookies are removed and the page reloads without analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage key ga-consent) so the banner does not reappear on every visit. That entry is essential to remember your preference and contains no personal data.
You can also block analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by clearing cookies and site data in your browser.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (with an AWS S3/CloudFront deployment available as a backup). Like any web host, these providers process technical data such as your IP address, request time, and user agent to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse. This happens regardless of your cookie choice and is based on my legitimate interest in operating a secure website. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Links and social platforms
Articles and the footer link to external sites such as GitHub, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. This site does not embed their widgets or trackers, but once you follow a link, that platform’s own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because I don’t hold identifying data about you, most requests are best handled through Google’s own tools (for example, deleting analytics data linked to your identifier) or by clearing your cookies. To exercise any right or ask a question, message me on LinkedIn or through any of the social links in the site footer. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top. Material changes to what is collected will be accompanied by a fresh consent prompt.
